Doubt
What it is telling youYou do not know yet. That is all it means, and the only way to find out is to try.
How He Sees It.
Before Eric launched his podcast in August 2019, he spent close to two weeks asking himself whether anyone would listen. Then he woke up one morning, recorded the introduction, and published it by early afternoon. The response that weekend answered a question no amount of thinking could.
That is how he reads doubt now. It is loud, but it is a question, not a verdict, and it usually asks for knowledge you can only get by acting.
On Doubt, Word for Word.
Each line links to the moment it was said or written.
“I think self-doubt can sound so loud in our minds, but in reality, we just don’t know, and the only way for us to actually know is to actually go and do the damn thing and find out.”
“You don’t need to have it all figured out.”
“Don’t overthink. Don’t ponder ideas.”
What He Does With It.
Runs the same three steps on every new idea: try it, listen to the response, then continue or stop.
Episode 27: How Do I Bring Value to Others? A ReflectionAsks one question before a decision: do I know what I need to know, or can I definitely find it out? If the answer is yes, he starts.
Episode 66: How to Make Decisions (Return of the Podcast)Lets the audience as a whole be the judge, never one voice, and never treats the response as a verdict on who he is.
