The Emotion Tracker.
A planner for how your day feels. Log each moment as it comes: how you felt in the morning, what happened, how you felt after. Every feeling is one of the twenty-four in The Emotional Wiki, with what it is telling you and what Eric Chow does with it. At the end of the day, keep your report.

Three Steps, One Day.
Log a moment. Choose the time of day, write what happened if you like, and pick the feelings closest to it from The Emotional Wiki, each with how strong it was, from 1 to 5.
Watch the day take shape. Your moments line up as a timeline: how you felt in the morning, what happened, and how you felt after. Each feeling you log opens with what the wiki says it is telling you and what Eric does with it.
Keep the report. Print it or save it as a PDF, download it as text, or copy it. Each day is kept under its own date in this browser until you clear it.
Your Day, Moment by Moment.
Saved in this browser as you go, one day at a time. Nothing is sent to Eric or to anyone else.

What Your Feelings Are Telling You.
Each feeling you logged today, as the wiki reads it, with what Eric does with it. Open any entry for his own words.
The Feelings You Can Log.
The tracker uses the words of The Emotional Wiki and no others. Each one links to its entry: what it is telling you, Eric’s reading, his words, and what he does with it.
Before the Leap
- FearSomething ahead matters, and it deserves your courage rather than your retreat.
- DoubtYou do not know yet. That is all it means, and the only way to find out is to try.
- UncertaintyYou cannot see the whole road. You can still see the next few steps.
- PressureSomeone else’s timetable is being mistaken for yours.
- InadequacyYour self-image is lower than your ability. Most of what follows is a symptom of that.
In the Storm
- OverwhelmYou are fighting the storm. Look for the eye of it instead.
- DisappointmentSomething you were counting on fell through. It hurts less when it is not the only thing ahead.
- SadnessYou cared about something. Sadness is how much.
- AngerYou have handed someone else the power over your outcome. Take it back.
- DiscomfortYou are at the edge of your comfort zone. Ask whether it is harming you or growing you.
- LonelinessYou need connection more than rest. Reach out before you retreat.
- RegretThe past is pulling your attention away from what is in front of you.
- DrainedYou may not be tired at all. You may be missing purpose, meaning, or people.
In the Clearing
- HopeIt has gotten better before. That is your evidence that it can again.
- GratitudeYou already have more than you are looking at. Say so, out loud, to the people responsible.
- PrideYou kept a promise to yourself. Attach the feeling to the effort, not the result.
- ConfidenceYou will be fine either way. That is what frees you to try.
- AlivenessYou are living rather than existing. Notice what got you here, and do more of it.
- AnticipationSomething good is coming. Keep something good coming.
Toward Others
- EnvyYou want something you have told yourself you do not want.
- HumilityThere is still something to learn here, from someone.
- CareYou want good things for someone. Make sure your own fire is burning first.
- CuriositySomething here is interesting. Follow it and see where it goes.
- WonderYou are unlikely beyond measure, and so is everyone you meet.
For Reflection, Not Diagnosis.
The Emotion Tracker is a way to notice your day and reflect on it. It is not medical advice, and it does not diagnose or treat anything.
Eric speaks as a podcaster and a friend, not a clinician. If you are struggling, talk to someone you trust, and if you are in crisis in the United States, call or text 988.
What you log stays in this browser, saved under its date, and is never sent anywhere. Clearing your browser’s data clears it too, and Clear This Day and Clear All remove it whenever you like.
